Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger Point Therapy is a highly effective treatment designed to alleviate muscle knots and tension, the source of many pain problems. By targeting and releasing these knots, this therapy restores normal muscle function, reduces pain, and increases mobility.

Trigger Point Therapy works by identifying areas of muscle tightness, which can cause pain, restriction of movement, and even referred pain in other parts of the body. By applying precise pressure to these trigger points, the muscle fibres relax, blood flow increases, and pain is reduced.

It's a highly targeted, hands-on approach that provides relief not just temporarily but in a lasting way, as it helps to treat the root cause of your discomfort.

  • What is Soft Tissue Therapy?
Soft Tissue Therapy is more than just a sports massage. It’s a personalised approach to help with muscle and joint pain or injuries. The goal is to reduce pain, speed up healing, and help you move better. In this therapy, a skilled therapist looks closely at your specific issues and uses different techniques to treat them. This means you get a tailored experience that focuses on what you need to feel better and recover effectively. Soft Tissue Therapy involves working with the soft tissues of the body—like muscles, tendons, and ligaments. This therapy can include various techniques, such as: Massage: Helps relax muscles and improve blood flow. Stretching: Enhances flexibility and reduces muscle tension. Trigger Point Therapy: Targets specific tight spots in muscles that cause pain. By addressing both the symptoms and the causes of pain, Soft Tissue Therapy aims to not just relieve discomfort but also to prevent future issues and improve overall function.
  • What is Trigger Point Therapy?
Trigger Point Therapy is a specialised form of massage that focuses on areas of muscle tension known as trigger points. These trigger points are tender spots in the muscles that can cause pain in other parts of the body, a phenomenon known as referred pain. During the therapy, pressure is applied directly to these sensitive areas to help release muscle tightness. This approach aims to reduce pain, improve muscle function, and promote overall relaxation. Trigger points are essentially tight knots within the muscle fibres that can cause discomfort both locally and in other areas. Trigger Point Therapy helps by: Applying Targeted Pressure: Using firm but controlled pressure to relieve the tightness. Enhancing Blood Flow: Increasing circulation to the affected muscles to facilitate healing. Restoring Muscle Function: Easing muscle tension to improve movement and reduce pain. This method focuses on addressing specific problem areas to help alleviate discomfort and enhance muscle performance.
